Stephen Demarco, Sr.

Stephen J. DeMarco, 58, passed away December 26, 2023. Stephen loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. His children always enjoyed all the family trips to the state parks, firework displays, bonfires and crazy times in the go cart. . He will be remembered by all for his culinary skills, specialties being stuffed peppers, baked ziti, meatballs, hamburger soup and macaroni salad. He was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins, New York Rangers and all the Binghamton hockey teams. He loved classic rock music of the 1980’s. Steve had a sweet tooth second to none, a new package of TicTac’s would only last an hour or two. Doughnuts, Reeces, Steve never met a sweet he didn’t like. He was predeceased by father, George J. DeMarco. Steve is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Liana DeMarco, Jr. and Anthony DeMarco, mother, Shirley Crandall, treasured grandchildren, Noah and Jacoby DeMarco, siblings, George DeMarco and Nicole Tiffany, the love of his life, Julie Tonkin and her children, Steven Tonkin and Rachel Tonkin and grandchildren, Katana and Coleton Rivenburg. and Nevaeh Larson. He leaves behind a large extended family and his four-legged companion, Khaleesi. Funeral services will be held 5:00 pm, Thursday, January 4, 2024 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the time of services.
