The Reverend Ronald B. Thomas

The Reverend Ronald B. Thomas,93, passed away on November 26, 2023. He was the son of Howard and Florence Thomas. Ronald was a Presbyterian clergyman and served churches in Pennsylvania and New York. He was Pastor Emeritus of Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church in Binghamton and most recently was Organist/Choir Director of the John Hus Presbyterian Church where a quarter of a century ago, he also served as Interim Pastor. For over two decades he taught Special Education in the Vestal School District.

He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Dorothy, daughter Susan Thomas and son Stephen. Ronald is survived by his children and spouses: Rick and Sandy Thomas, Harrisburg, North Carolina, Sandy and Bill McEvoy, Binghamton, New York and Sherri and Bob Beblavy, Johnson City, New York, treasured grandchildren: Justin, Heather, Brianna, Rebecca, Robert, Ashleigh, Abby, and John, and four great grandchildren: Ryan, Hannah, Ava and Nolan. Ronald’s family would like to thank the staff of James G. Johnson Nursing Home at Hilltop and Lourdes Comfort Care for their compassion and care that they provided.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Friday, December 1, 2023 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Janet Abel officiating. Private interment will follow in Spring Forest Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
