Sybil (Hullman) Goldenberg ended her days peacefully in her sleep April 16, 2017. May her memory be a blessing. Sybil was predeceased by her adored husband of 50 years, Edmund, her parents Lazarus and Rose (Riger) Hullman, and her much loved sister Frances (Hullman) Bauman. She is survived by her cherished children, Cecile Goldenberg and Ted Malthouse, Geelong, Australia, Susan and Paul Frey, Cleveland, Ohio, Judith Goldenberg and Leonard Horton, Binghamton, Steven and Mary Goldenberg, Vestal. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Jennifer, Thomas (Mellisa), Scott, Adam, Michael and Emily, great-grandchildren Juliet and Spencer Jeppesen, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and adopted children Rebecca Gutcher, Rosalie Miller, Rudy Caporoso and Rosey Hay. Sybil was passionate about her family, theater, her home, and reading. If it had a cover and pages, she read it. She loved cooking and entertaining, opening her home to relatives and to numerous strangers, many of whom became life-long friends, making them feel welcomed and comfortable. Sybil's love of theatre began in high school, and continued throughout her life, putting her in the role of actor, director, producer, costumer, and later, makeup distributor. She loved working with high school theatrical productions, supplying makeup and application lessons to the students. The family would like to thank the staff at Susquehanna Nursing Home for their kind and gentle care of Sybil in her last days, and the staff at Brookdale for their attentiveness and care of Sybil and her beloved Puppy. We would also like to give special thanks to Mary, who has been Mom's angel, caretaker, and confidant to a fault especially over the past year, and then some. We love you and can never find the words to thank you for everything. We know you did it for love of Mom - we thank you with our love for you.
