Susan E. Thomas, 63, eldest daughter of Ronald and Dorothy Thomas passed on March 7, 2018. Susan endured her years of cancer treatment with great bravery and outstanding good nature. She was one of the original tenants of Lincoln Court Apartments, where she made many friends. Susan was a very sociable, friendly and helpful person with an infectious smile and a hearty hello. She participated in programs from ACHIEVE where she worked at CVI and was helped along the way by ACHIEVE’s helpful and caring staff. Susan loved games, bingo, minature golf, word searches, Tioga Downs, eating out, spending time at the seashore and reading Danielle Steele. She was a faithful NY Giants fan even when their fortunes were waning. Susan was a member of Ross Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Susan is survived by her siblings, Rick and Sandy Thomas, Harrisburg, NC, Sandy and Bill McEvoy, Binghamton and Sherri and Bob Beblavy, Johnson City. She leaves behind numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Steven and her grandparents, Margaret Becker and Howard and Florence Thomas. Susan’s family is very grateful for the tender, excellent and loving care she received from all of the staff of the Susquehanna Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Linda Breffle, ALP officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Susan’s name may be made to ACHIEVE, 127 Cutler Pond Road, Binghamton, NY 13903.
