It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Van Vorce Shea. Shirley passed away on March 30,2026. She was 90 years old.

Shirley retired from Pepsi in Binghamton. After retirement she spent her time being the most incredible grandmother to her three grandchildren who she adored. She went back to work several years later as a Direct Support Professional at Achieve. Shirley had a genuine love for this work and the people she supported over the years.

Family was the center of her life. Shirley cared deeply for her two children and her three grandchildren. Lots of phone calls and sweet texts to let them know how much she loved them. Shirley had a strong bond with her two sisters, they were truly best friends. She also had special nephews & neices in her life.

Shirley's nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of her friends and family. She was known for her warm caring personality. She has a generous heart and always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was predeceased by her parents Robert and Lorena Van Vorce. Shirley is survived by her children James (Patricia) Shea and Shari (Carl) Caudell. grandchildren Jamie Shea, Kelsey Shea, Shea Caudell, sisters Sylvia (Doug) Keister, Marsha Van Vorce, neices and nephews Todd Keister, Marsha Fenner, Colleen Porcari, John (Jessica) Fenner.

A memorial service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held 1:00 pm, Sunday May 3.2026 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Ave Binghamton NY, 13903 at 1:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com.
