Roxanne Seeley

d. April 20, 2021

Our beloved, Roxanne Seeley, 61, of Warren Center, Pennsylvania passed away April 20, 2021. She was a one of a kind, the best wife, mother, and friend anyone could have asked for. She was loved by so many and was accepting of everyone. Most her children’s friends called her Mama Seeley. Roxanne’s facial expressions gave away her personality, always sarcastic and never afraid to let you know what she thought. Roxanne and her husband David shared 46 years together. They stood by each other’s side on good days and bad. Through thick and thin their marriage stood the test of time, when both partners worked toward always making things better. She always pushed her children to be the best they could be and reminded them to never give up on themselves. Roxanne loved music, animals, cooking and playing in the dirt (gardening). She was a true Hippie, fun and artistic. Roxanne always rooted for the underdog. She was a big kid at heart! Roxanne was a strong woman both physically and mentally. These were traits which were demonstrated daily in her work with children at BOCES where Tie Dye Day was recently held in her honor. She was predeceased by her parents Sidney and Fae Dake, brother, Rodger Dake as well as Jenny Dake and Jason Dake. Roxanne is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David R. Seeley, children, Jessica A. Seeley and Casey R. Seeley, treasured granddaughter, Scarlet ”Landon” L. Seeley, siblings; Chester H. Dake and Linda L. Pintler, sisters-in-law, Linda Dake and Sue Dake. She leaves behind nieces, nephews and cousins, Doug and Marilyn Murray, Wendy Jo and Marley Gibson, Everett and Katy Thomas, Jane and Paul Phinney, Dawn Dake, Branden Pintler, Amy Dake, Sherece Dake, Colter Dake, Karly Frazier, and Chelsie Johnson. Her family and friends want you to know- - I usually woke up to a message that started off with, good morning sunshine.... I’ll miss you so much Mom, but I will make you proud, I promise. Mom truly believed everything happened for a reason. - I will miss you so so SO much. Thank you for teaching me how to love, understand, and be Awesome! Can’t wait till the day I see you again... Give Cody and Mittens love- River gonna take me Sing me sweet and sleepy Sing me sweet and sleepy All the way back back home It's a far gone lullaby Sung many years ago Mama, mama, many worlds I've come Since I first left home Going home, going home By the waterside I will rest my bones Listen to the river sing sweet songs To rock my soul Going to plant a weeping willow On the banks green edge it will grow, grow, grow Sing a lullaby beside the water Lovers come and go, the river roll, roll, roll Fare you well, fare you well I love you more than words can tell Listen to the river sing sweet songs To rock my soul - She was a river rat. Oak Point was her place in this world. She will rest in peace as many have before her and I too will follow one day. Having you in my life was a gift that will forever guide me to be the strong, brave and confident women I have become and will continue to aspire to be. I love you Mama Bird, time to fly. -The baby sister who wonders her way into everyone's heart. -She was one of the most important women in my life. An amazing supportive and loving aunt. She encouraged me, disciplined me, and made me laugh. She will never be forgotten. -As SRV would have said, "Look at lil Sister". She was a force to behold with a love of life and people beyond fathom. Her desire to connect with someone was a natural talent. It would not be uncommon to hear her children's friends refer to her as Mom. She genuinely cared for those who were troubled with life. I wish we had more time together. - Fly high Mrs Beesley Roxanney Mcfanny will miss you always Whitetails will never be the same. - What do you say or do when that special person leaves this earth? You know, the person you met when you were little? You spent summers swimming with and sharing secrets? The one you almost got in trouble with by your parents and laughed with you at things others wouldn't get? Roxanne C Dake Seeley was that person for me... in each other's weddings, knew each other’s grandparents, and always there whenever needed. Roxanne passed away yesterday. We laughed and shed a few tears over the years. Even after we grew up, we still walked each other part way home. What can I say? I have only love and respect for her and I guess today is the day I spend remembering those fabulous days of our friendship. Roxy - I'll be with you at the river watching the Fireworks, the ships, shooting stars and sunsets! Thank you. -There is a road, no simple highway Between the dawn and the dark of night And if you go, no one may follow. That path is for your steps alone, but if I knew the way, I would take you home. Love you Momma Seeley Peace & Love. - I was 19 when I met you. I was a new mom, new wife. I knocked on your door and you said c’mon in and sit down and we've been friends ever since. Your kids were my kids and vice versa. We worked through this adulting thing together you and me. You're a sister of my heart. Through so many adventures and hurts and celebrations you have been a constant in my world. When you told me, you had cancer you said you would beat it. You fought. You fought so hard. It fought harder. Sister, wife, mother friend, warrior. Enjoy the sunrises and sunsets at the river from the other side. Rest now and say hello to gram for me. I love you. Then I love you more. Peace! -She was a committed and devoted wife. She loved her family and husband very much. Life wasn't always easy, but we stayed together till the end.
