Rose Young-Stewart of Whitney Point, NY, formerly of Quincy, Mass, passed away at Lourdes Hospital on May 2, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rose, born November 1, 1942. Rose grew up in Quincy and graduated from Quincy High School 1961 and received her Nursing Degree later in life. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Walter W. Stewart and her brother, Arthur J. (Archie) Young. Many people knew Rose from her “artistic” envelopes, when ever she corresponded with anyone she drew or embellished the envelope her correspondence was mailed in. She leaves behind her beloved cat “Tuxedo”, also known as Tux, her nieces Deborah Young and Sherry Young in Massachusetts and her Red Roof Inn family. She remembers her happiest times in her entire life, riding throughout the Blue Hills on her Raleigh Bicycle for years. She has seen the deaths of her numerous life-long friends and so many others. She truly loved her furry and feathered animals and catered lovingly to them. Rose will be buried near the river she loved in Riverside Cemetery in Whitney Point, NY, 11:00 am.on May 24, 2021.
