Ronald E. Travis

Ronald E. Travis, 83, passed away March 27, 2023. He was educated in Yonkers, NY and later at Broome Community College. Ron worked for Endicott Johnson Shoe Company and later became an insurance agent. He transferred his skills to become an Insurance Administrator for a nationwide trucking company until his retirement when he choose to become his wife’s caretaker. Ron enjoyed fishing, boating and swimming. Ron was predeceased by his wife Mary Katherine Travis, son Aaron Travis, parents Joseph and Mary Travis and long-time companion Nellie L. Smith. Ron is survived by his daughter Victoria R. Taylor, stepdaughter and stepson Cynthia and Mark Knoblauch, their children, several grandchildren and a large extended family. Memorial services will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, April 3, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, 709 Main Street, Vestal. Interment will follow services in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am until the time of services. Memorial contributions in Ron’s name may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
