Ronald C. “Lucky” James, Jr. 72, formerly of Binghamton ended peacefully his 16-month battle with pancreatic cancer at his home surrounded by family November 25, 2019. Lucky always had a smile on his face and loved and lived life to the fullest. He was an over the road driver of 8 years at Kroehler Mfg. and 25-year driver at Frito-Lay. Lucky enjoyed camping, boating, fishing in his special place, Westport, Ontario, Canada. He was predeceased by parents, Ronald, Sr. and Blanche James, sisters, Virginia Sternberg, Manette Heath and brother, Gerald. Lucky is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy, children, Ronald, III and Megan James and his beloved grandson, Lincoln. He leaves behind brother-in-law, Gary Sternberg, aunts, Mabel of Binghamton and Romayne of Florida and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends both in New York and South Carolina. Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Pastor Colton officiating.
