Ronald J. Clay, 87, passed away peacefully March 24, 2022. Ron was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always willing to help anyone in need. Ron enjoyed bowling and was in many leagues and tournaments. He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball. He was an avid fan of all sports, most especially any sporting game his grandson Jeffrey participated in. He enjoyed spending time with his grand pups. He devoted many hours to helping the senior ladies of his neighborhood with their yardwork and spent even more time helping Karen with her Garden Club. Ron retired from Strathmore Paints after more than thirty years.
He is predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Karen in 2012, parents, Arvine and Jeanette Clay, siblings; Richard Arvine Clay, Michael Clay, Robert Clay, Jedidah Mecca, Jon Clay, Judy Klemens, Donald Clay and Carol Clay, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donald Raymond, Barbara Kaner, Judith Walter, Madeline Hiney and Justin Maynard. Ron is survived by children, Cynthia Raymond, Ronald Clay, Jr., Scott Clay and Heidi Clay, treasured grandchild Jeffery Calles. He leaves behind siblings, Linda Geier and Dennis Clay, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim and Joyce Raymond, Leonard Kaner, Karen Raymond, Marilyn and Richard Corriea and Phyllis Maynard and a large extended family.
