Rodney Bederka

March 20, 1944 — July 16, 2022

Rodney Bederka, 78, of Binghamton passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on July 16, 2022.

Rod was predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Naomi Bederka, his daughter Sharon Mueller, ex-wife Lorraine Bederka and his baby brother. He is survived by his daughter Sandy (George Knight) Woolfolk, his step-children Thomas (Heather) Eck, Linda Eck, Jerry (Holly) Eck, William (Maria) Eck, George Eck, Robert (Donna) Eck, his grandchildren Dustin Mueller, Cody Mueller, Darnell Woolfolk, Cordell Woolfolk, Kayah Woolfolk, Tyrrell Woolfolk, great-grandchildren Colby Mueller, Layna Woolfolk with two more on the way, his sisters Shelly (Paul) Chayka, Amy (Paul) Bommer. Rod also leaves behind a large extended family and friends who cared about him.

Rod was a proud member of the Army National Guard working as a mechanic at the Binghamton Armory. He enjoyed his time racing stock cars at 5 Mile Point Speedway and an avid fisherman who would take his lunch breaks casting a line in the river. Rod was gifted with the ability to fix anything while working on cars, and valued spending time with his family and friends.

A Celebration of life will be Sunday July 24, 2022 at 2:00 o'clock PM at the American Legion Post 1305, 820 Lower Stella Ireland Road Johnson City, NY 13790. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com
