Richard J. Morgan, 90, passed away on April 6 th , 2023, filled with the love of his family. Richard was born October 11 th , 1932 to Roy and Anna Morgan in Binghamton, NY. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Joan A. Morgan, his only daughter, Deborah Ann Rost, and his great-grandson, Julian Rost, and his brother and sister-in-law, Jack & Iris Burnard.

Richard is survived by his brother Roy (Rita) Morgan, his brother-in-law, Tom Menhennett, sister-in-law, Allison Dillabaugh, his son-in-law Dennis Rost, grandchildren Morgan (Ryan) Matchett and Brian Rost. Richard was the patriarch of the family and discovered the foundation of youth by guiding and supporting generations. He filled his days going to softball games, swim meets, track races, present at every milestone event from first communions to graduations. He was everyone’s biggest cheerleader and the memories made and life lessons learned made us all stronger, kinder and will live on with us forever.

Richard was in the 27 th Infantry Division of the New York National Guard, class of 1948. He worked at Anitec Image Technology Corporation and retired in 1993. Him and his wife Joan enjoyed traveling back to Arizona in the winters to be with his daughter and grandchildren, and just going on long drives in the country side, leaf peeping, and patronizing any small diner they came across.

Richard loved the outdoors and nature, fishing, birdwatching, taking visitors on luncheon boat tours on the Fingerlakes. He was proud of his hometown and loved to share his knowledge of the region he grew up in. He had a soft spot for all animals, and doted on his cockatiels and the cats that showed up on his doorstep and adopted him.
