Richard Hine

  Richard D. Hine, 75, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. Richard was the “guy” who helped everyone. A phone call from a friend meant he’d be there to pick them up at 2am when they had car trouble or help with that emergency install of an engine. He always was able to tell you a joke that you would never forget. A mechanic by trade, he loved cars and motorcycles. He was predeceased by his wife, Christine Hine. Richard is survived by his children; Steven and Laura Hine, Endwell and Aaron and Heather Hine, Binghamton, treasured grandchildren; Lacee, Rory, James and Benjamin. He leaves behind sisters and brother-in-law, Carol and Robert Scherer, Conklin and Susan Binde, Kirkwood, many nieces, nephews and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend C. James Jones officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, December 1, 2017.
