Richard Fredrick Gormly, a beloved brother, musician, and dedicated accountant, passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 86 in his lifelong hometown of Binghamton, NY. Born on December 1, 1938, Richard was the cherished son of John and Eleanor Gormly, who predeceased him.

Richard was a proud graduate of Binghamton North High School and the first graduating class of Harper College's Vestal campus, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. His professional journey led him to a distinguished 35-year career at International Business Machines (IBM), where he made meaningful contributions in various roles.

A man of many talents, Richard was not only an accomplished accountant but also a fantastic musician. His passion for music blossomed in high school, and he continued to share his gift by playing the organ at several churches in the Binghamton area. His love for music left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to hear him perform.

He is survived by his loving brother John L. (Eleanor) Gormly and sister Jeanne (Robert) Baxter, who will hold his memory close to their hearts. He was predeceased by his sister Sandra Gormly-Smith.

His family wishes to honor his life with a private service, celebrating the profound impact he had on his loved ones and the community. Burial will take place at the designated location on Vestal Road, where Richard will find his eternal rest, surrounded by the beauty of the place he called home.

Richard Fredrick Gormly will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his kindness, talent, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory inspire those who knew him to carry forward his legacy of love and music.
