Rhonda Ely

d. March 31, 2024

Rhonda Lynn Ely unexpectedly fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Rhonda was the most kind and loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved spending time with her family; hosting holidays, cooking delicious food, and gathering everyone together to celebrate on any occasion were just a few of the many things that brought her great joy in life. She was the biggest cheerleader for her nephew and nieces, they were the loves of her life. She was an incredible aunt/godmother to all four of them. Her title recently grew to be “Great-Aunt Rhonda” to four beautiful little girls, and that was something she was most certainly proud of.

She leaves behind her beloved parents, Frank Jr & Elizabeth Kostun, her sister Shari Ann Blass (Michael Guokas)-Conklin, NY., her nephew, nieces and great-nieces, and many extended family members in NY, TN, VA and GA.
We know that she will continue watching over her nephew, Dominic (Caitlin) Kostun; her nieces, who all aspire to have great hair like their aunt, Danica Rebich (Erik Engrissei), Teagan Blass (her little “Tikibean”), Brynn Blass (her “sassy sunshine”), and her favorite little people, McKennah, Marleigh, and Madigan Kostun, and Elliana Engrissei.
Rhonda is also survived by her Broome County Real Property Tax Service “family”, where she was a dedicated employee for the last 18 years.

Our beautiful angel, Rhonda, was greeted in Heaven by her “fur baby” Rusty (“Russell Alan”), the little Sheltie who stole her heart, her Grandmother Mary Reynolds, her aunt/Godmother Patricia Davis, as well as many of her other relatives.

A memorial mass  will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at The Parish of Saints John and Andrew Catholic Church, 1263 Vestal Ave., Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of services.
In memory of Rhonda, donations can be made to Gigi’s Playhouse of the Southern Tier. She would have also loved others to consider rescuing a “fur baby” or simply paying forward an act of kindness. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com.
Arrangements for the family are directed  by the DeMunn Funeral Home  and Cremation Service, LLC.
