Phoebe Ruth
Macaulay
December 6, 1997 – September 18, 2024
Phoebe Ruth Macaulay, age 26, went to be with her Lord Jesus on September 18, 2024, after a courageous 26-month battle with brain cancer. She faced her illness with remarkable strength and grace, embodying the same passion for faith, healthcare, and education that defined her life. Phoebe was the beloved daughter of Robert and Gail and cherished sister to Luke (Kate) and Lydia (Ian). She was an adoring aunt to her nephews Braeden, Ian, and Donovan—who were a constant source of happiness for her. Phoebe dearly loved her fiancé Ugwuogo, whom she affectionately called "my man," and to the end they were united in love and in faith. Phoebe's commitment to her Lord was displayed as an active member of Grace Baptist Church where she devoted herself to the outreach ministries and worship team, inspiring many with her dedication and kindness. Her life verse was Psalm 118:17, " I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD." Phoebe lived out this verse through her work at UHS Wilson Hospital Laboratory, where she made a significant impact in the lives of her co-workers. She seized every opportunity to share her faith with anyone who would listen. She was passionate about the lab and wanted to prepare the next generation to work there. She was a proud alumna of Central Baptist Christian Academy, SUNY Broome and SUNY Upstate Medical University, and she found joy in playing both the violin and piano. Phoebe's love for music and her unwavering faith were integral parts of her life, enriching all who had the privilege to know her. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed many different crafts.Phoebe leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and love that will be remembered and missed by all who were touched by her life.
A service to honor Phoebe's life and legacy will be held at West Windsor Baptist Church, 166 North Rd. Windsor, NY 13865 on October 12th with calling hours from 10am to noon and a service to follow.
