Peter George Latta passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at UHS. He was predeceased by his wife Elinor I Latta and his parents Susan and George Latta of Binghamton. He is survived by his children, Gary and Karen Latta, David and Margaret Latta, Ronald Latta and Christopher and Cheryl Latta, granddaughters Leeann (Patrick) McKane and Gracie Latta and great grandchildren Victor and Marcus. Peter was an World War II Army veteran and was a part of the 52nd Field Artillery Battalion in Camp Hakata, Kyushu Japan in 1946 and 1947. Peter was co-owner of Smey's Tire Sales of West Windsor, he sold Insurance at Security Mutual Life and sold dairy products on the road in his very early years. He was an avid fisherman in local waters, NY Giants fan and a physical fitness buff. In his later years he wrote many short fiction stories of suspense and drama.
