Paul C Demoski

Paul was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley, his sister Catherine Holden, sons-in-law Lance Holbrook, and John Benson. Paul is survived by his children; Paula Holbrook of Spring Hill, Fla., Ken and Judy Demoski of Leander, Tex., Joanne and Ed Rattigan, Kathy and Mark Swearengin, and Denise Travis all of Binghamton, Lori Benson of Windsor, and Scott and Birdie Demoski of Baldwinsville, NY. He leaves behind grandchildren; Ryan Holbrook, Adam Holbrook, Shaun and Jenn Rattigan, Kyle and Danielle Rattigan, Kelly Blair, Matt Swearengin, Tim Swearengin, Andy Travis, Kristen and Steve Williams, Tyler Benson, Nic Benson, Emma Benson, Josh (Rachel) Demoski, and Isaiah Demoski, great-grandchildren; Connor, Emily and Jameson Rattigan, Sara and Laura McCarley, Shirley Jo and Albie Blair, Logan and Jayden Williams. Paul leaves behind his brother James (Olga) Demoski and a large extended family, along with his ever-faithful four-legged companion Metzie for 12 years. Paul was a hard-working father who took care of his family by working as many as three jobs at a time. He would jokingly tell people he did this so “his wife could stay home to eat bonbons”! He had an unmatched work ethic which he instilled into his family. Paul retired from the Binghamton Psychiatric Center where he held many positions, caring for people who needed him. He spent his retirement years driving the Catholic Charities bus. Paul was an avid sports fan, and attended as many of his grandchildren’s games as possible. He had a love - hate relationship with his favorite New York teams the Mets and Jets, who never seemed to disappoint him. The family is honored and humbled for the opportunity to care for him during his declining years. With their love and support, Paul was able to live at home for many additional years. Special thanks to his home health care nurse, Karie Stranz, for taking wonderful care of Dad for the last six years. Graveside services will be held 12:00 noon, Friday, May 14, 2021 at Riverside Rural Cemetery, Kirkwood with Pastor Scott Roloson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Paul’s name may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or www.stjude.org/donate .
