(Stearns) Mercincavage
August 5, 1938 – January 25, 2025
Patricia Ann Mercincavage (Stearns), 86, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2025. Patricia was born in Binghamton, NY, to Hubert and Helena Stearns, and lived in Binghamton NY, Syracuse NY, Daytona Beach FL and Mansfield TX. She attended Syracuse University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was an art teacher in the Binghamton School District, where she taught students from elementary school to high school. In addition to spending time with her family and friends, she was passionate about painting, loved the relaxing qualities of being around lakes, oceans and the great outdoors, as well as her love to dance, especially with her beloved husband, Edward. Along with her husband, she loved to attend the Big "M" Open to catch up with family and friends. She enjoyed making her famous beer steins for the 1st place Big "M" Open team. In addition to her fondness of McDonald's "extra crispy" bacon, egg & cheese biscuits, she also loved a good dessert, especially anything chocolate. With her intensely competitive spirit, she enjoyed playing various games with her family.
Her family survives her; her children, David (Linda) Mercincavage, Debra (Zachary) Melita, Michael (Gabriella) Mercincavage; grandchildren, Christopher (Ani) Mercincavage, Amy (Jonas) Erickson, Peter (Bethany) Mercincavage, Nathaniel (Isa) Mercincavage, Isaac Mercincavage, Nicholas (Tess) Melita, Joshua Melita, Cameron Melita, Anne-Marie (Stephen Reustle), Christina Mercincavage, Alyssa Mercincavage; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Logan & Mary Jane Erickson, Max & Charlie Mercincavage, Finley Mercincavage, Emma Reustle; brothers-in-law, C. Michael Mercincavage (Joyce) Mercincavage, George Mercincavage, and Bob (Pat) Mercincavage; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street, Binghamton, NY. Burial will follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the funeral home.
