Nellie C. Weyant

Nellie C. Weyant went to be with her Lord, August 21, 2017 at the age pf 94. After graduating from Binghamton North High School, she worked for Endicott Johnson and retired from there after more than 40 years of service. Nellie was a longtime member of High Street United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and made many dear friends.She was predeceased by her parents, John, and Irena Weyant, Sr., sisters, Esther Cutri, Faye Weyant and Janice Tyler and brothers; John Weyant, Jr., Everett Weyant and Albert Weyant. Nellie is survived by sisters; Betty and Arthur Hamilton and Violet and Raymond Hitchcock and brother, David Weyant. She had a close and loving relationship with her family, leaving many treasured nephews and nieces behind especially Carolyn and Doug who cared for Nellie in her final stages of life. Nellie’s family would like to thank the caring staff of Bridgewater Nursing home.Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 25, 2017 at High Street United Methodist Church, 1288 Vestal Avenue, Binghamton with Pastor Benjamin O’Connor officiating. Interment will follow services in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
