Nancy Anne Silvernail Paige, born March 21, 1944, passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on August 5, 2022. She was the youngest of four daughters born to Clara and Raymond Silvernail. Nancy is predeceased by her sisters Joann Armstrong and Carol Dewar, her first born granddaughter Krysta Lynn Lewis and her great grandson Robert Daniel Felton Jr. She is survived by her sister Jane Sweet, many nephews and nieces, the man she always loved and loved the most, Costell Ladd and her trusted cat companion Onyx. Nancy was employed by Broome County as a Senior Typist for Office for Aging and then Broome County DSS Children Services which she retired from. The best part of her job she would often say, were the people she worked with. Mom, Mamma, Gramma, Aunt Nancy, Nance will be remembered for her stories, quick witted responses, her outright humor, sarcasm, (at times, a bit passive/ aggressive), her ability to make people laugh and being the life of the party. She will be remembered for the love she had for her friend's, who were family and loved her as much as she loved them (Peggy Rice, Judy Gray, Paula DeRigo, Lynda Felton) What she will be most remembered for is how much she loved her daughters Lisa (Jack) Harder and Lynn (Brian) Shepard, her grandchildren Robert Felton, Britney Lewis, Dustin Ladd Godbay, Jacob Ladd Harder, Isabel Ladd Shepard and her great granddaughters Paige Lynn, Lilley Pearl, and Karra Anne. Our mom made it very clear, early on that she did not want a service or calling hours. In her words “I don’t want people coming to stare at me.” What she did want was for her friends and family to get together to listen to Elvis and Motown, share memories of her, have some drinks, and join in laughter. Nancy’s family will hold a private event to celebrate her life as she wanted. To forward condolences please visit www.demunn.com. Arrangements for the family are directed by the DeMunn Funeral Home.
