It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Nancy Lynne James. Born in 1948 in Binghamton, NY and passed on December 19, 2025 in Endicott, NY. Nancy was raised in the Hawleyton community and lived in Vestal, NY with her loving husband, David James. She worked at Lourdes Hospital as an radiographer and mammographer for 20 years then worked in Dr. Lee's office until retirement. Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Mitchell James, her parents Eleanor and Wilbur Brooks, as well as her brother Lealand Brooks. Nancy is survived by her husband, David James, her daughter Susan Snead, son-in-law Travis Snead and granddaughter Ella Snead.

Nancy was the second oldest of 7 siblings; Janice Brooks-Headrick (Charles Headrick), Michelle Gill (Dennis), Robert Brooks (Suzanne), Natalie Crounse (Thomas), Paula Schofield. She has many nieces, nephews and extended family who all adored her and were the recipients of her love.

Nancy and Dave have been married 58 years and enjoyed a wonderful full life together traveling and camping. Nancy was Dave's favorite co-pilot whether it was in a car, boat, or RV. They have visited 48 of the 50 States and visited 18 National Parks together.

We would like to express our gratitude to the Home Care Aids who helped care for Nancy during the last few months. To Tom Schofield who was there in a moment's notice. And an extra special thank you to Nancy's niece, Mackenzie Schofield, who's love and support has been immeasurable.

Nancy enjoyed the simple things in life, nature with a good view, a good cup of coffee, ice cream, a sweet dog, and her family. She made an impact on all who were fortunate to know her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and the best friend anyone could ask for. Her legacy of kindness, love, and sense of humor will live on and be carried forward by those who loved her.
