Nancy Dunn Egan passed away on May 11, 2020 due to complications from a long illness. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Frances Dunn, beloved sister, Jacqueline Dunn McKeon, as well as her precious Westie “Benny”. Nancy is survived by loving family; son, Brian Egan and fiancée Kristin Maier; brother Casey Dunn and wife, Karen; nieces, Katheryn Dunn and Kelsey Dunn; brother-in-law David McKeon; nephews, Gregory McKeon and wife, Jeri-Anne, great nephew Shea and great niece Madalena; nephews Nathan McKeon and Joseph McKeon; special aunt, Marilyn Dunn; cousins Richie Dunn and wife, Gloria, Laura Ellis, Mark Ellis and wife, Denise, Linda Henkle. She is also survived by wonderful family who considered her “Aunt Nan” and countless caring friends, including her cherished Ya-Ya’s. Nancy was a nurse for many years practicing in various capacities before joining the New York State Insurance Fund, retiring in December 2019. Nancy was a lover of music, an accomplished world traveler and an avid golfer, playing in a ladies league every week for many years. Along with her sister Jackie, she was a member of the Rockbottom Players at Benjamin Franklin School and made many lasting friendships participating in the annual shows. Nancy leaves behind many friends and colleagues, all of whom will miss her smile, quick laugh, and extraordinary compassion. Nancy’s unbridled selflessness and generosity knew no bounds. She was the glue of her family and words cannot express how much she will be missed.
