Michael Darrow, 63, passed away on August 6, 2020 from pancreatic cancer with is life partner, Diane Jacobson, by his side. Mike was a very special man. Twice he took a child under his wing as a father even though they were not his biological children. Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and going to the casino. He loved driving especially when his dog, Percy, could go with him. He also love being a part of the Glen Aubrey Fire Department when he lived in Glen Aubrey. Mike loved NASCAR, cookouts at his sister’s and Baltimore Inner Harbor where he and Diane spent many weekends. Mike also loved traveling to Colorado to visit his almost brother-in-law. No matter who he met, Mike would be a friend. He had a sense of humor and cared deeply for everyone. He loved his family and always wanted to best for them. He was a brother, stepfather, partner and best friend. Mike is survived by his life partner, Diane Jacobson, his stepdaughter, Amber Jacobson, sisters, Julie (Glenn) Davis, Sue Lupold Bickham, Laurie (Steven) Zimmer, brother, Randy (Sandra) Lupold, father, Lauren Darrow, half-sister Elizabeth (Ken) Grover, half-brothers, Donald Darrow, Larry (Brenda) Darrow, many uncles and aunts and cousins as well as several nieces and nephews. Mike is also survived by his almost brother-in-law, Robert McCollum. A celebration of life will be held on August 29, 2020, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Lisle Fire Department.
