Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Ann Rudy, passed on Sunday, 22 March 2020 due to medical complications caused by an intracerebral hemmorrage. Mary Ann grew up in and around the Southern Tier of New York State and northern Pennsylvania. She had three children: Michael (oldest), Shelley (now deceased) and Tony. One of her favorite things was spending time at the family cottage on Cayuga Lake, just south of Aurora, NY. She enjoyed landscaping the property, laying in the sun with a good book, boating and taking the occasional swim. After selling the cottage, she would spend her days gardening at her Vestal Avenue home, playing golf, riding her bicycle, taking frequent walks and of course, reading. Getting an iPad a few years ago opened her up to the strange world of the Internet, one where silly animal videos seem to have been made just for her. She had a unique outlook on life and was a very loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her siblings: Betty (Esther), Butch (Sayre), Cindy, Don & Jean (Caroline); her oldest son, Michael, his wife Claudia and her grandson Lucca; her youngest son, Tony, his wife Lori and her grandson Ian; two grand-daughters, Abby and Emma; a grand-son, Alex, his wife Sara and two great-grand-children, Zada and AJ (Alexander, Jr). Mary Ann’s family would like to express their thanks to the caring staff of St Louise Manor at the Elizabeth Church Campus for the compassionate care they gave her in her final weeks. We would especially like to thank Mary Ann’s guardian angel, Carol, for all the love and friendship she gave my Mum. Per Mary Ann’s wishes, no funeral services are planned.
