Mary R. Doupe, beloved mother and grandmother, passed peacefully in her home on July 2, 2021 at the age of 76. She had an adventurous spirit, taking trips to places like Hawaii and Las Vegas. Before moving back to Binghamton, she lived in Florida, spending much of her free time on the beach; the ocean has always held a special place in her heart. She loved to spend summers in Cooperstown on Otsego Lake enjoying the water and sunshine with family and friends. Mary was an avid reader, a lover of card games, and completed latch-hook crafts. Every evening she was a dedicated watcher of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Mary was a brave soul with a fighting spirit and will be forever remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Rose Koniuto, step-mother Mary Koniuto, daughter Jacqueline Snyder, brother Stanley and sister-in-law Charlotte Koniuto, and sister-in-law Kathy Koniuto. Mary is survived by her son Steve Snyder, brothers Roger and L. John (Arlene) Koniuto, grandchildren Kimberly and Steven Snyder, and fur babies Max and Millie who she loved deeply. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends. At Mary's request, there will be no services held. To honor her memory, keep her fondly in your hearts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, and to commemorate Mary's love for her pets, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society, Project Paw, or an animal shelter of your choosing.
