Marshall Vanoven

Marshall W. VanOven, 55, was tragically taken from us on February 3, 2025. He was born on July 2, 1969 in Lakeland, Florida.  Marshall is predeceased by his father, Jesse M. VanOven, Sr., his mother Pamela M. VanOven, and brother Gregory A. McLachlan.   He is survived by the love of his life Jennifer Newton and their fur baby Clarice, his stepfather Jesse M. VanOven, Jr., his daughter, Jessika N. VanOven, his son and daughter in law Zachary M. and Haleigh VanOven, his grandchildren whom he loved more than life itself, Payton, Ka-Xy, Nova and Aminah,  siblings;   Patrick VanOven, Christine and William Barrett, Karen Hampton, Mary Hyland, and Lisa N. Callahan, nieces and nephews; Michael and Rachel Wallace, Elizabeth Wallace, Pamela McLachlan, Dawson J. Burlingame, Sierra R. Burlingame and Samantha L. Acly and close cousins Shawn VanOven and David DiRado. He leaves behind several cousins and lifelong friends.

Marshall enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports (Michigan, Syracuse, NY Giants, NY Mets, LA Lakers were his favorite teams), watching Street Outlaws, playing poker, collecting coins and being a kind and gentle father, grandfather, son, brother and great friend to all.  Marshall had such a generous, peaceful and loving attitude.  Marshall held different jobs in his life such as being a cook, maintenance staff, contractor work and the like.  He was always there anytime anyone needed a helping hand.  Marshall will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 pm, Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of services.
