Marie H. Caffrey, 87, of Endicott, New York passed away Tuesday morning, 11 days shy of her 88th birthday, comfortably in her own home surrounded by her loving family. Marie was born on May 29th, 1933, in Peckville, PA to Alex and Pauline Poplarchick. Marie is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Paul, her brothers, Edward, and Thomas, as well as her sister, Alice. Marie is survived by her daughters, MaryAnn (Joseph) Fritsch and Joyce (Leonard) Mantei, granddaughters, Sarah (Ron) Lewin, Jacqueline (Sean) Cousart, AnneMarie and Emily Mantei, and her great-grandchildren, Aidan and Rory Lewin and Audrey Cousart. Marie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren and following the weather and politics. She retired from General Electric and enjoyed retirement with her husband at the lake. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 1:30 PM at Saint Ambrose Church Washington Avenue, Endicott NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Marie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
