With hearts full of gratitude and remembrance, we announce the passing of Margaret Beverly Vosburg, a beloved matriarch who graced our lives for 92 wonderful years. Margaret's spirit illuminated the lives of many until she left us on April 1, 2025, in Binghamton, NY.
Margaret will be cherished and remembered by her son, Donald Vosburg and his wife Diane; her daughter, Barbara Fuller; and her adored granddaughters, Trista Miller and her husband Marcus, and Marissa Fox and her husband Justin. She also leaves behind her loving grandchildren—David, Drew, Dawson, and Duncan Vosburg—and an expanding circle of great-grandchildren who numbered far beyond ten. Each one carries a piece of her heart, a legacy of love that will resonate through the ages.
Preceding her in death are her devoted husband, F. Duane Vosburg, her cherished parents Harold and Olive Van Scoten, and her infant son, David Herbert Vosburg.
In May 1953, Margaret married Duane, the love of her life, and together they built a warm and nurturing home in Hawleyton, NY. For over 70 years, Margaret cultivated her faith at Hawleyton Methodist Church. She was a guiding light, celebrated for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering commitment to serving others. Leading the Seekers ministry, she sent heartfelt cards to those in need and embraced her community with open arms. As a Sunday School teacher, a 40-year choir director, and a steadfast leader in Stonecroft Ministries, she left an indelible mark on all those she encountered. Her travels to Colombia, China, and the UK were a testament to her adventurous spirit and dedication to furthering the mission of love in the world.
We invite all who knew and loved Margaret to join us in a celebration of her life. Funeral services will be held at Hawleyton Methodist Church on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at 3:30 PM. Visitation will precede the service, starting at 2:30 PM at the same location. Margaret’s final resting place will be at Hawleyton Cemetery, where we will gather on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025, at 9:30 AM to honor her memory and bid a fond farewell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Margaret's name to Hawleyton Methodist Church, supporting the community she held dear.
Let us come together to celebrate a life beautifully lived, a heart that loved fiercely, and a spirit that will forever remain in our hearts. To forward condolences, please visit www.demunn.com
