Linda Sue WiltzSeptember 13, 1942 - February 21, 2019 Linda Wiltz died Thursday, February 21, 2019  at Mercy House of the Southern Tier, of esophageal cancer, among the kind staff there. Linda was born in Freeport, Illinois. She grew up in the midwest and met her husband, David Leonard, at Chicago Theological Seminary. They married in 1967. A feminist who kept her birth name, Linda's career in social work focused on women's health and safety. She cried when Ronald Reagan was elected, loathed right wing politics, and was steadfastly anti-war. Linda was a Unitarian Universalist with high regard for the Society of Friends. She loved cats, and the Russian language. Her favorite book in her youth was The Yearling, she later enjoyed Barbara Kingsolver and Anne LaMott. Her favorite film was Aliens.  Linda was preceded in death by her husband; and is survived by her children, Elisabeth Anne Leonard (Adam Hill) and Marc David Leonard, her granddaughters Kaia Austin, Jaden Austin, and Emma Leonard-Hill, and great-granddaughter, Nova Woods.  At her request services will be private.
