Laurie DeMarco

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend - Laurie Sue DeMarco nee Ditch, 61, of Port Dickinson, NY on October 4, 2025. She was predeceased by her mother Alice M. Ditch, sister Cheryl M. Creekmur, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

She is survived by her fiancé of 16 years Jamie Butts, children Michelle (Matt) Campbell, Daniel DeMarco, grandchildren Alice, Ava, and Jackson Campbell, father and stepmother Roger (Jeannie) Ditch, brother David (Gayle) Ditch, stepbrothers Michael (Kyna) Townsend, Gary (Lori) Townsend,sister-in-law Doreen Butts, and her fur baby Athena. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Laurie relocated with her family to Windsor in 1967 and was a graduate of Windsor High School class of 1982. Laurie has worked for the last 25 years at United Methodist Homes Corporate Accounting Office as an Administrative Assistant.

Laurie had many passions in life including cooking, music, camping, crocheting, or just sitting around the fire chatting with friends and family. She was known for her ability to not judge, have an open ear, and give tough love advice to many of her family and friends. She was an avid pet lover and was always bringing pets home from the time she was a child all the way through adulthood. She looked forward to her trips down south to spend time with her grandchildren who were the lights of her life. She loved her son Danny's weekly visits and monthly lunches with her Dad.

Funeral service will be Saturday October 11, 2025 at 11:00am at the DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service 36 Conklin Avenue Binghamton, New York 13903. Family will receive friends from 10:00am until time of service.
