Katherine "Molly" Hankinson

Beloved wife and mother, Katherine “Molly” Hankinson, 70, of Vestal Center passed away Sunday June 12, 2022. In conversation she could be witty but also used satire as her own brand of humor. Her most prized possession in life was her cottage on Stanley Lake, Friendsville, Pa. She spent her summers there and lived by the motto “anyone who has time to clean isn’t reading nearly enough”. Molly is survived by her husband William “Hank” Hankinson and daughter Caito Hankinson, Richmond, Va. On the day she passed many of her closest friends spontaneously met at her home where they exchanged hugs, tears, stories, and looked at old photos. They shared beer, wine, pizza and memories of their green-eyed Irish girl. A celebration of Molly’s life will be held 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Vestal Center Social Club (formerly the Redman's Club), 2409 Route 26, Vestal.
