She leaves behind her aunts, Violet Kenville and Anita Miller and her uncle, Francis Hamzik. Judy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were a great source of joy in her life. Many friends will miss Judy in their lives, as well. Judy was born on August 10, 1959 in Johnson City, NY. She went to Binghamton High School She attended Sullivan Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Alcoholism Counseling. Throughout her life, Judy had a strong desire to help others. Her heart was big. She always wanted the best for others and would go out of her way to help in the best way she knew how. Judy thought of her family often and would surprise them with small trinkets or just a phone call to let them know she was thinking of them. Judy loved to write, sing, and spend time in nature - especially at the lake. She spent a memorable weekend with her sister, Linda, enjoying the sun, water and sunsets on Cayuga Lake. This memory, among many others, will be how Judy is remembered. She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews for being fun and silly and most fondly for the “popcorn parties” that she would throw after bedtime when she babysat. Judy spent many hours with her aunt, Violet Kenville, praying the rosary and sharing their lives with one another. This relationship was special to Judy and something that she treasured. Judy will be missed by her many friends who were as close as family. She was grateful for their love and support throughout her life. Judy would wish for all who read this to let their family and friends know that they love them. She would encourage you to pick up the phone just to say hi. Her desire to feel connected to those that she loved will remain with her family, always. A Mass of Christian Remembrance will be celebrated 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Saint James Roman Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Johnson City.
