John R Rhodes

John R. Rhodes, 29, of Endicott, NY passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2024, from liver disease. John was born on April 22, 1994, in Binghamton, NY to Patricia (Heist) and Eric Rhodes. He was a graduate of Chenango Forks High School. He earned his associate degree in business administration from SUNY Broome, followed by his bachelor’s degree in professional accounting from SUNY Oneonta.

John was preceded in death by his father, Eric. John is survived by his mother, Patricia, his brother, Brian, and sister, Julia. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, whom he considered family. He loved going on family adventures, including trips to Colorado, Florida, California, Arkansas, and Wisconsin, as well as annual vacations at the beach. He was an avid reader; he especially liked the Harry Potter series. He was a proud member of Slytherin House. He loved gaming with his family and friends. Some of his favorites were Mario Kart, Halo, and Warhammer.

John worked as a dietary aide at Elizabeth Church Manor, part of United Methodist Homes, for five years. After graduating from SUNY Oneonta, he began working as an accountant for United Methodist Homes. He earned his CPA and became a senior accountant for them; a career he enjoyed and took pride in. He loved not only working there but his United Methodist Home’s family as well.

John was a quiet and private person, he never liked to be the center of attention; there will be no services.
