John J. Dundon, Jr.,78, died unexpectedly at home December 5, 2022. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Many who knew him have said he was one of the kindest people they knew. John loved his family deeply and especially enjoyed family vacations, always near the water. He was an Alumni of St. Paul’s Catholic School and Syracuse University. John worked at GAF Corporation/Ozalid, Film & Paper Corporation, Broome County, and Frito Lay. He had a fondness for animals and cherished his dog, Rosie. He was predeceased by his parents John J. and Ann M. Dundon, Sr., sister-in-law Tammy Noxon, and brother-in-law James Hummer. John is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Doris L., son and daughter-in-law, John P. Dundon and Dr. Tammy Inman, his adored grandchildren Sean Dundon and Aaron Dundon. He leaves behind siblings, Pat and Max Hubartt, Joseph and Barbara Dundon, Ann Marie and Michael Perhach, niece Sarah, nephews Joseph and Kristin Dundon, Adam and Stephanie Dundon, James Dundon and Maribeth Johnson, Michael Perhach, John Phillip Perhach, brother-in-law John P. Hummer and Francoise Herve, cousins Chuck and Ellie Jakaitis, William and Linda Jakaitis, and William and Cathy Dundon, along with several great nieces and great nephews, and many, many good friends including his best friend, Terry Nunn. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with the Reverend Monsignor Michael T. Meagher officiating. Interment will follow services in Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2022.
