Howard Mai

Howard “Howie” Mai passed away peacefully at his home on October 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Howard retired from Anitec. After retirement he enjoyed buying and selling cars and working with many friends in the business. Howard had a love and passion for helping anyone he met. His smile would light up any room he walked into. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Bessie Mai, sister Rhoda Mai Vollmer and brother Murray Mai. Howard is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Alice Mai, children; Michelle and Steven Zelenyak and Lisa and Barney Taylor, treasured grandchildren, Justin and Alyssa Nemire, Brandon Nemire and Kristina Rogers, Dominick Zelenyak and Rosemary Zelenyak and great granddaughter, Elliana Nemire. He leaves behind sisters-in-law, Evelyn Cady and Dawn McGovern, several nephews, nieces and many friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton. Interment will follow services in Calvary Cemetery.
