Howard Andrew Crandall

Beloved father and grandfather, Howard Andrew Crandall entered into God’s kingdom on February 18, 2022 at the age of 77 after a long battle with coronavirus. Howard was one of eight children. As a boy he collected bottles, shined shoes, did odd jobs. He was a member of the Liberty Street Gang of friends and brothers. Howard graduated from North High in 1966. He met his future wife Marjorie in November 1965 at the party of a mutual friend. It wasn't long after they started dating, which eventually led to 40 years of happy marriage. He was a masterful storyteller, the life of the party and up for anything life threw at him. He enjoyed trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, vacationing with his family, yard work, riding his scooter, pool time with his family and rough housing with his great grandkids. There was nothing he enjoyed more than being there for his friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents, Myrl and Christine Crandall, wife Marjorie Crandall, grandchildren Cole Crandall, Dustin Crandall and Brittany Crandall, siblings; Ray Crandall, George Crandall, Harold Crandall, Myrl Crandall, Jr., Betty Carpenter and Nellie Hatch. Howard is survived by his children; Dawn and Robert House, Robert and Kimberley Crandall and Chris Crandall and Cherie Dawes, treasured grandchildren; Michael House, Danielle and Zac Evans, Ben and Nicole House, Holly Crandall and Patrick Weber, Kyle Stoddard, and Kristi Howell, great grandchildren, Makayla, Caiden, Kayleigh, Noah, Owen, Amelia, Madison, William and Chloe. He leaves behind sister Shirley DeMarco and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton with Pastor Waren Muir officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of services. Interment will follow services with full military honors in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
