Grace P. Pombo, 60, of Binghamton, passed away peacefully on June 18th, 2024 with family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents; Frederick Sr and Jill Piscina and her older brother; Frederick Jr. Grace is survived by her children; Danielle and Amber Pombo, treasured grandchildren; Emma, Jillian, Makayla, Bentley, Marcellus and Aero (“George”), brother, Steven (Holly) Piscina and sister-in-law Nathia Beltran-Piscina, r nieces and nephew; Hannah, Samantha and Jeffrey. Grace lived in Queens with her family for many years before moving to the Binghamton area. Grace worked as a school bus driver when first moving to the area. She loved it, and all of the children she drove bus for. Grace would always talk about her time as a bus driver and how she cared so much for the kids on the bus. She would enjoyed running into them around town as now adults themselves. Grace then started to work for Broome Developmental Center where she retired from. She loved the people she worked with , and so many of her clients. If you knew Grace you knew she loved to have a good time, and joke around. She would love to scare people as much as she could- no matter their age. She would be very forward and tell it as it is, like it or not. But her heart was always in the right place while doing so. Grace went to any garage sale she saw as well as going antique shopping with her friends. If you knew Grace you know her love for crazy purses. Grace revisited Guestward Ho many times, a place where she spent so many of her childhood summers. Guestward Ho was a place she would bring her children and grandchildren (whom she took such pride in). She met many friends there that became family. We will miss Grace so very much. We know in our hearts she will never have to deal with the pain she did here on earth for a while. Grace was a very strong, and strong willed woman who just wanted the best for all of her family and friends. A Celebration of Life for both Grace and her mother Jill, who passed only six weeks before Grace, will be held 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Hawleyton Methodist Church, 901 Hawleyton Road, Binghamton, NY 13903 .
