Gloria J. Baker, 79, of Binghamton, New York, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, following an extended illness. Born on September 3, 1946, in Binghamton, Gloria embraced life with a spirit that resonated with joy and warmth.

She is predeceased by her mother, Josephine Baker, and is survived by her beloved son, Michael (Theresa) Benson; grandkid, Jeremy "Toe" Benson; and her sisters, Winifred (John) Benedict and Francine (George) Cobb. Additionally, Gloria leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of close friends who will forever remember her vibrant presence in their lives.

She was a devoted member of the Moose Club #1013, consistently demonstrating her commitment to her community through service and support. Gloria was known for her sharp wit, big heart and everlasting friendships left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.

In honor of her life, a celebration of Gloria's remarkable journey will be held, details of which will be announced shortly. Friends and family are invited to come together to share memories, laughter, and stories that reflect the joy she brought into all of our lives.

Gloria J. Baker will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her.
