George "Tim" Sickles

George “Tim” Sickles. Some called him dad, some called him grandpa, and some called him Tim. George left us to be with The Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018. He enjoyed 79 years here with us. We would have loved many more years to spend absorbing his humor and positive outlook on life. He loved church, nature, hunting, wood working, and wanted to fish forever.  George enjoyed spending time with others. He could never say no when asked for help. He lived. He loved. He cared. George devoted much of his life to his wife Iona who predeceased him as did two step children, James and Linda Lockwood. George is survived by two daughters who loved him Tammy (Richard-predeceased) Smith and Shelley (Eric) Jensen, stepson, Ed (Karen) Lockwood and stepdaughter, Joanne Lockwood. He was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. George spent many hours with his grandson Joe Lockwood hunting, fishing and riding to Syracuse. He leaves behind a special neighbor that he could always count on, Mike, with whom he spent many years visiting and tinkering. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Ouaquaga United Methodist Church, 2185 NY Route 79, Windsor with Pastors Sue Brizzolara and Eric Jensen officiating.
