George Kennerup

January 10, 1939 — September 5, 2025

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of George Kennerup, who passed away unexpectedly on September 5, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on January 10, 1939, George lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that he leaves behind for his family and friends to treasure.

George was the beloved husband of Mary Kennerup for 64 wonderful years. Together, they crafted a life filled with warmth, support, and enduring love. In addition to his devoted wife, George leaves behind a legacy of love with his children: Kathy Nash, George Kennerup, Raymond (Josephine) Kennerup, and James Kennerup. He was a proud grandfather to Dillon Kennerup, Airyell Polonski, Hunter Kennerup, Hayden Kennerup, Kayla Gabello, Brooke Kennerup, Danilelle Batzer, Robert Nash, Jonathan Nash, and Tieler Kennerup, and a cherished great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather to many.

George was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Julia Kennerup, and his brother, Martin Kennerup, and nephew Trent Kennerup. His memory, however, will continue to live on in the stories, laughter, and love he shared with those around him.

An avid dirt track racing enthusiast, George could often be found at the Five Mile Point Raceway, enjoying the thrill of the races that fueled his passion. He also found great joy in his work at Gary's-U-Pull It, where he delighted in assisting customers, operating the shuttle bus, and helping them in their search for those elusive car parts.

In his leisure time, George loved to immerse himself in the great outdoors, taking moments to relax and appreciate the beauty of nature. He embraced life with open arms, leaving behind a legacy of fond memories for all who knew him.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date and will be a time for family and friends to gather in remembrance, sharing stories and celebrating the life of this remarkable man. Following the services, his remains will be cremated, a reflection of his wishes.

We invite all who were touched by George to join us in honoring his legacy, sharing in the joy he brought to our lives, and carrying his spirit forward in our hearts.

Rest in peace, George. Your love will always be our guiding light.
