George P. Anderson

Binghamton- George Phillip Anderson, 84, peacefully left this earth November 23, 2018 surrounded by his family. He succumbed to the unforgiving Parkinson's disease after a three year struggle. He was a credit manager for 38 years at Endicott Johnson. George was an avid music lover as well as a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He was predeceased by his parents, George W. and Dorothy P. Anderson, brother Dr. Donald E. Anderson and best friend Edward Hawley. George is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joan Barber Anderson, children; Jeff Anderson, Binghamton and Scott and Lisa Anderson, Windsor and grandson, Tyler. He leaves behind several nieces, nephews, longtime friend Pat Knight and many other friends. George's family would like to thank the staff at Lourdes Hospice and the Susquehanna Nursing Home for their care, comfort and support. At George's request services will be private. In George's memory, the next time you are out enjoying friends and family, raise a glass and have a "wrap up". We are sure he'll be smiling down on us all.
