Francis (Frank) J Frank J. Prokop, 80 of Binghamton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday December 11, 2013 at his home. Born February  5, 1933 in Cambria PA. the son of the late Mary and Joseph Prokop. Frank was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Binghamton American Legion Post 1254 and Binghamton Moose Club. Frank worked for Botnick Chevrolet for many years and retired as the Body Shop Manager. Frank loved to golf and hunt. He was an avid gun and coin collector and loved working on cars his entire life. He enjoyed golfing with all his buddies over the years making memories in Myrtle Beach. Surviving Frank are his children: Frank (Susan) Prokop, Endicott, Kevin (Debbie) Prokop, Binghamton, Rick (Michelle) Prokop, Owego and Patricia Prokop, Windsor. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Nicole, Richard Prokop, Ryan Reynolds, Jacob, Nicholas Prokop and their grandmother Beverly Prokop, as well as his close friends George and George Jr. Saleeby. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday December 15th, from 1:00 to 3:30 pm at the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street, Binghamton NY.
