Fern Goldfein Rose, 89, of West Palm Beach, Florida, died on February 16, 2018, succumbing to a long battle with cancer.  Fern is survived by her children Marilyn Rose and James Blackstock, Neil and Emily Rose and her youngest brother, Melvin Goldfein.  She was preceded in death by her parents Eve and Nathan Goldfein, brothers Samuel and Harold, daughter Sara Mullens, and her husband, Sherman E. Rose.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Rose and Joshua and Laura Rose, Andrew and Linda Mullens, Amanda and David Chait and son-in-law Jeff Mullens.  Fern also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren and friends. Fern was a devoted wife and Mother, a generous volunteer of her time at Temple Concord, a lifelong student of her favorite instrument, the piano, and an avid supporter of The Miami City Ballet and The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Fern was a special lady, she could be tough but in essence was a kind and generous soul, a loving wife, mother and Grandmother.  She will be missed beyond words. Funeral Services are being held Sunday, March 18th, 2018 at 11:00AM at Temple Concord, 5 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, NY 13905.   Internment will immediately follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Johnson City, NY.  Shiva will be observed at Temple Concord following burial on Sunday until 3:30PM.
