Elizabeth Kostun

Elizabeth Kostun, 85 years young, passed peacefully into the Kingdom of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, August 15, 2025. Greeted in Heaven by her beloved husband Frank Kostun Jr. and her beautiful daughter Rhonda Ely, whom she missed with every breath here on earth.

Liz was predeceased by her mother Mary Reynolds, sisters Harriett (Clifford) Boardman, Patricia (Jack) Davis; brothers Jack (Sarah) Reynolds and Francis Reynolds, and her nephew Thomas Boardman.

Surviving her is the family, who will miss her dearly and will cherish all of their precious memories with her. Her daughter, Shari Ann and son in law Michael Guokas, her grandchildren, who spent much of their childhood making life long memories at "grandpa and grandma's house"; her grandson Dominic (Caitlin) Kostun, and her granddaughters Danica Rebich (Erik Engrissei), Teagan Blass and Brynn Blass; and Grandmas's greatest pride and joy her great-grandchildren, Dom and Cait's beautiful girls, McKennah Audrey, Marleigh Ann and Madigan Elizabeth Kostun; and Dani and Erik's beautiful babies, Elliana Elizabeth and Brody Frank Engrissei.

Liz is also survived by her nephew Douglas (Toni) Boardman, her nieces Kathy (Keith) Willes, Margaret (Paul) Boardman-Scala, Rebecca Brown, Mary (David) Johnson and many great-nephews. She leaves behind her very special girls, Joyce and JoAnn Middendorf, whom she loved very much, along with many neighbors and friends, especially from her Thursday night bingo games and time spent at her church, St. John's and St. Andrew's.

A Catholic Mass to celebrate Liz's life will be held on 11:00 am, Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the church of St. John and Andrew, 1263 Vestal Ave, Binghamton with a light lunch to follow.
