Edward Habicht

Edward Habicht, 90, passed away October 4, 2017. He proudly served his country in the US Army, during World War II. Upon his return he completed his education and was a teacher and administrator in the Vestal School District until his retirement. Ed was a man who loved his family. He will also be remembered for his love of dessert. He was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Anglican Church and a member of Post 82, American Legion. Ed is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lenora, children; Lynne Oney, Vestal, Lisa and Chris Reese, Binghamton and Laura and Dan Harmon, Mora, MN, treasured grandchildren; Brian Johnson, David Wadsworth, Grant Manley, Zach Manley, Grace Harmon, Alicia Benjamin, Daniel Harmon, Rachel Bakker and Nathan Reese. The family wishes to thank the caregivers who lovingly made it possible for Ed to remain home during his illness. Funeral services will be private.
