Doris Kelly

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt Doris “Dodie” Kelly, 75, passed away July 29, 2021. Doris’s life was centered around her family, her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. As a Mom, she always had an answer to what troubled you. It may not have been the one you wanted to hear but it was always right. Doris was known as “Aunt” to everyone in the neighborhood. She hosted many family Christmas parties where she handed out gifts to all the children. Doris shopped all year to filled those gift bags to the brim, which could fill a truck. She was an avid bingo player and an ultimate Jeopardy fan. She predeceased by her parents Albert and Beatrice Gill, siblings; Walter Gill, Gwendolyn Frisbie, Lois McManamon, Alberta Gill, Thomas Gill, Albert Gill, Jr and Phyllis Gill, infant grandchildren, Lynn and Gavin Kelly. Doris is survived by her loving husband, James, children; Patrick and Keri Kelly, Amy Williams and Mathew and Victoria Kelly, treasured grandchildren; Steven Elderkin, Irisa Kelly, Amber Kelly, Kharma Williams, Madison Kelly, Makayla Kelly, Tristan Kelly, Janelle Kelly and Grace Kelly and great granddaughter, Riley Gosson. She leaves behind, brothers, Merrill and Carol Gill and Howard and Ellen Gill and a huge extended family. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
