Denzil "Denny" Kelly

  Denzil “Denny” Kelly, 76, passed away June 23, 2019. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Denny retired from the Roofers Local 74-203. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1013 and of the American Legion. Denny was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be remembered for his gruff and rough outer shell and his loving eyes when he smiled. He was a great cook and a lover of the NYS Lottery and enjoyed watching the kids play baseball. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Kelly and Elizabeth Severance, brothers, Charles and Michael Kelly and his four legged fishing buddy, Biscuit. Denny is survived by his daughter Linda Kelly and son, Denzil Kelly, Jr., his loving companion and best friend, Helen Wesoloski. He leaves behind, siblings, Patricia Pollack, Elmira, Robert and Helen  Kelly, Cato, New York, several nieces and nephews, Helen’s children; Mary Frances Schwartz, Nancy Whiting, Edward Wesoloski and Ellen Smith and many treasured grandchildren, great great grandchildren, friends and special morning coffee friends, Jay and Betty Peskur. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the DeMunn Funeral Home, 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton.
