David B Simpson

David Beardsley Simpson, age 73, died on June 3, 2025, after a short illness. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret Benedict Simpson and Roy Geary Simpson, and his sister Carol Simpson. He is survived by his wife Carla Bogin Simpson, Daughter Sydney Simpson and her partner Robert Cross, sisters Susan Simpson and her partner Shamis Fasthook and Cathy Scotto. Maintaining family contacts was important to him.

Dave was a proud graduate of Yale University, obtaining his Bachelor’s, MBA and Law degrees. He had a brief career as an Attorney and Management Consultant before retiring due to a chronic illness. He enjoyed spending his days working with his retro computers and learning older programming languages. He loved being home with his computers and dogs. Scout and Maya will miss him. In later years, he enjoyed both fine dining and visiting every diner in Broome County to sample breakfast for dinner.

He is remembered by everyone he met as a gentle, affable man. We will miss him dearly.
