Cora Lorraine (Geiger) Hasbrouck, 90, passed away Saturday June 9 after a brief illness.  Cora was born on November 18, 1921 in Elmira New York.  In 1946 she married her husband George Mahlon Hasbrouck in Elmira and they moved to Binghamton with their three children in 1957. Cora was predeceased by her husband of 54 years in 2000 and her son George Jr. in 2007.  She is survived by daughters Barbara Murphy and Ellen Hasbrouck, sons-in-law Michael Murphy and Ken Weissman and granddaughter Katharine Murphy, all of New York City. In her younger days Cora enjoyed skiing and golf.  She was an avid bridge player, traveler, and opera enthusiast until relatively recently.  As a long-time member of Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church she served as a Eucharistic minister for several years and completed the Education for Ministry (EfM) Program. Her family wishes to thank the staff of Good Shepherd Village in Endwell for their extraordinary sensitivity and compassion during her stay, but particularly in the final days when she was able to pass away surrounded by her family and close to the staff she so sincerely appreciated. A Memorial Service in celebration of Cora's life will be held on Wednesday June 27 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main Street in Binghamton.  The family will greet friends prior to the service in the Hoyt Room.  There will also be a reception following the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cora's memory to Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church to benefit The Haven after school program for young adults.  Arrangements with the Ernest H. Parsons Funeral Home 71 Main Street, Binghamton. Please visit ParsonsFuneral.Com to offer your condolences.
